City of Brampton staff were excited for the opportunity to show potential new residents from Canon all that Brampton has to offer.
On May 12 and 16, Economic Development staff, along with representatives from the Recreation and Culture Division and Brampton Transit, visited Canon Canada Inc. offices in Mississauga and Toronto. The group presented to more than 150 potential new Brampton residents, using a new Geographic Information System presentation technology as a platform to provide information to help employees moving from their current office locations to the new state-of-the-art facility in Brampton.
The presentation provided an opportunity to showcase Brampton’s vibrant quality of life. Employees were given an overview of the many area amenities and services Brampton has to offer such as transportation, shopping, restaurants, business services, recreation, events and tourism. The presentation also highlighted vital business demographic information.
The new 175,000 sq. ft. facility will employ over 400 people with almost 25 per cent of those residing in Brampton, making them one of Brampton’s top employers by employment and brand recognition.
The City of Brampton is pleased to welcome Canon Canada Inc. to their new home later this year.
