Brampton’s Culture Days Celebrations rank 3rd in top 10 large Canadian cities

December 9, 2015

Each year, the Culture Days national organization releases a ranking of the Top Ten Cities and Towns according to the number of Culture Days activities it hosts. This year the City of Brampton placed third nationally in cities with a population of 500,000 and over.

In 2015, 90 events downtown and across Brampton celebrated and showcased our city’s cultural and creative workers and industries through interactive activities and “behind-the-scenes” experiences. The incredible range of activities covered the arts and culture spectrum. From learning to DJ, ballroom and hip hop dance, and piping the perfect cupcake, to Doors Open tours, Lego robotics and curator talks, there was something for everyone.

Local groups, businesses and artisans benefitted from the exposure that the City’s award-winning Culture Days marketing program provided, and residents were engaged in a diverse and exciting range of Brampton arts and culture.

Founded in 2009, Culture Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of arts and culture. In Brampton, Culture Days invites everyone to explore, discover and participate in arts and cultural events in our community.

Help make our community come alive as we plan for the 7th Annual Culture Days weekend on September 30, October 1 & 2, 2016.
