The City of Brampton, through its Economic Development Office – Invest Brampton, has launched a strategic Tariff Action Plan to protect local businesses, promote global investment, and strengthen long-term economic resilience in response to U.S. tariffs.

The Tariff Action Plan is structured around three core pillars:

Connect, Support & Advocate – Engaging with businesses, industry leaders, and government to provide guidance and advocacy.
Diversify Global Markets – Expanding international trade opportunities and reducing dependency on single-market exports.
Attract Strategic Investment – Encouraging domestic and international investment that drives innovation, job creation, and competitiveness.

Brampton is championing Made-in-Canada procurement policies, supporting workforce development, and helping businesses scale through access to global markets.
