Toronto Global’s regional bid for a new site for Amazon’s second headquarters, which includes Brampton’sproposal for a site at the PowerAde lands, has made Amazon’s shortlist.
Amazon made theannouncement today Only 20 of the original 238 submissions made the shortlist, and the Toronto regional bid was the only Canadian selection.
Amazon has already been in touch with Toronto Global, and City of Brampton staff are working closely with Toronto Global on the next steps.
Amazon intends to work closely with shortlisted locations over the coming months to further evaluate the opportunities, and has indicated it will make a decision in 2018.
