On November 25th, hundreds of businesses and community leaders from across Ontario gathered to celebrate the achievements of nine outstanding Ontario businesses at the 2015 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAA).
A Brampton company, AFA Systems Inc was among the nine winners of the 2015 OBAA, winning in the “Ontario Going Global, Medium Business Award” category. They were honoured for successfully implementing an export strategy that is positively affecting the medium-sized business’ bottom line.
AFA Systems’ head office and main manufacturing facility is located at 8 Tilbury Court (Highway 410 and Queen Street East) and employs 45 individuals in a 30,000 square foot facility. The company also has an international location in Shanghai that opened four years ago.
AFA Systems Inc. is a secondary packaging machinery manufacturer whose focus is to provide product handling and packaging automation solutions. Their equipment can be used for a number of packaging functions and applications such as product handling, case packing, cartoning, product orienting, alignment systems, lane combiners, palletizing and case erecting.

This culture has transformed our company into a world-class manufacturer of packaging machines. In addition, our international clients respond to this culture as over 80 per cent of our sales are exported.”
AFA Systems Inc. is currently exporting to the USA, China, Indonesia, Argentina, Mexico, Columbia, Chile, and Brazil.
