Now, the global and hugely popular *FIRST*® LEGO® League has made a splash in the city.

Focused on building an interest in science and engineering in children ages six to ten, *FIRST*® LEGO® League Jr. is a hands-on program designed to capture, young children’s inherent curiosity and direct it toward discovering the possibilities of improving the world around them. Working in teams of up to six students, participants work with LEGO elements and moving parts to learn basic engineering and programming skills. This year’s theme is “Aqua Adventure,” challenging teams to explore how they use water in their daily life and the journey this water takes.

Brampton has a strong legacy of grassroots science and technology achievement, and more organizations and businesses are recognizing the local talent and potential for growth.
