Multi-year Infrastructure Project Coming Downtown

September 12, 2016

The Region of Peel, in coordination with the City of Brampton, is starting a multi-year project to replace and restore aging watermains and sanitary sewers in downtown Brampton. The project may include other utility infrastructure upgrades such as storm sewers, hydro, gas and telecom.
Phase 1 of the project is scheduled to start in spring of 2018 and will include the area bordered by Vodden Street to the north, Centre Street to the east, Harold Street to the south and McLaughlin Road to the west.

The City and the Region will provide regular updates as the project progresses, keeping you informed about what’s happening through construction notices, information in newsletters, and our dedicated project webpages (www.peelregion.ca/downtownbrampton).

City and Regional Project Ambassadors will be visiting your business if you are within the project area to talk to you about the project and have you fill out a questionnaire. This questionnaire is part of the project’s Business and Institutional Care Program, which is intended to minimize the impact of construction on you, your employees, and your clients or customers. Our Ambassadors will be happy to help you complete it. If you prefer filling out our online survey, follow this link:www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2881039/construction

Please see the map below to help determine if your business falls within the project area.
