2026 Innovation District Partner Kick Off Social

The Brampton Innovation District is a city-led ecosystem that brings together post-secondary institutions, accelerators, incubators and industry partners to provide founders with access to talent, capital, mentorship and market opportunities. Through collaboration and shared programming, the Innovation District supports businesses from early-stage ideation through to scale.

The session brought together representatives from Algoma Immersive, Brampton Angels (now Altitude Angels), Brampton Venture Zone, Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Brampton Entrepreneur Centre, BHive, and Altitude Accelerator, reflecting the depth and diversity of Brampton’s innovation ecosystem.

The meeting opened with welcome remarks from Councillor Gurpartap Singh Toor, followed by an overview of City priorities and the long-term vision for the Innovation District. Each partner then shared their 2026 objectives, ongoing and upcoming programs, and perspectives on how collaboration across the ecosystem can be further strengthened.

A key theme throughout the session was collaboration, with partners discussing shared priorities, challenges and opportunities for deeper alignment to ensure founders receive coordinated, effective support as they start, grow and scale their businesses in Brampton.

This convening marks an important step forward in advancing Brampton’s innovation agenda and reinforces the City’s commitment to fostering a strong, connected and future-ready entrepreneurial ecosystem.
